“check” is a project that is very personal to me created using Premiere Pro, exploring the fast-paced nature of modern life and its impact on mental well-being. Through introspective reflections and compelling visual narratives, the project offers a poignant commentary on societal pressures and the quest for inner peace amidst chaos.
“Escape” delves into the struggles of seasonal depression and the overwhelming influence of social media. The video begins with a barrage of mindless influencer content, a rising dopamine bar, and glitch effects that slowly multiply, capturing the addictive nature of online engagement. The chaos abruptly shifts as the dopamine bar swipes across the screen to reveal someone holding a phone. With a blink, the oversaturated digital world gives way to a gloomier, real-world setting, offering a moment of respite. Yet, boredom draws the viewer back to the allure of the dopamine-laden phone, creating a perpetual cycle of escape from one environment to another. The piece encapsulates the delicate balance between online and real-world experiences, resonating with the universal struggle of seeking solace in a digital age.
