A lyric video of the song ‘The Summoning’ by the band Sleep Token meant to showcase my animation and editing skills. This was made entirely in After Effects with a few assets made in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Before opening After Effects, I story-boarded with the lyrics as my inspiration for all of the animations. Every single part of the lyric video is meant to reflect the lyrics and there are also images, clips and animations of the band members to bring the attention back to the artists here and there. There are many small details that were added to bring the project to life so I’m certain that with every watch the viewer will notice something new.
Using After Effects and Final Cut Pro, “Visual Music” breathes life into “U Need Me” by SHINee. The project meticulously synchronizes shapes, effects, and transitions to every beat and note, creating a mesmerizing audio-visual harmony that captivates the audience in a dynamic display of creativity.
Crafted with precision in Photoshop and Final Cut Pro, “Call My Name” transforms the rhythms of GOT7’s “You Calling My Name” into a visual dance. Through rotoscope animation, the piece showcases intricate black line foundations accentuated by vibrant details, ensuring seamless transitions that amplify the song’s energy and rhythm, offering a captivating interpretation to the viewers.
“Piggy Bank” is a whimsical animation project that brings a cookie piggy bank to life through the lenses of After Effects, Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro. With meticulous attention to detail, the project creates a playful game environment where the animated piggy bank catches cookie coins amidst charmingly detailed settings. Every element, from animated grass to cookie coins, contributes to a lively narrative that engages viewers, ensuring even the smallest details come to life with vibrant energy.
Crafted with After Effects, Photoshop, ProCreate, and Final Cut Pro, this project blends ProCreate and Photoshop assets into an animated narrative in After Effects. Originally conceived as a text animation, it evolved into a tribute to Elvis Presley, showcasing his iconic moments and the fleeting nature of time. The video accelerates through Elvis’s career, emphasizing the theme of ‘speed,’ culminating in a poignant reminder of his legacy with the iconic line “Elvis has left the building.”
Using After Effects, Photoshop, and Final Cut Pro, “Presley for President” ingeniously animates vintage photos of Elvis Presley in a black, white, and pink palette. Subtle animations like moving eyes or hair strands capture his rebellious spirit and the essence of the 1950s. The video elegantly combines nostalgia with modern editing techniques, offering a glimpse into Elvis’s iconic charisma and the timeless allure of the ’50s aesthetic.
